lunch alone

Im not quite big on having lunches by myself, but I have discovered it is nice to sit down, open a book and enjoy good food and calm surroundings of Marylebone at 1600 GMT.

This is exactly what happened to me today when I ended up @Natural Kitchen.

Food was fresh, full of flavour, generous and wholesome - I had teriyaki salmon and selection of salads.

I like their retail side, which is bursting with artisan products, and the brasserie, which is open at 1600 for lunch (where most places wrap up),  so:

Quality of food: 6/9

Overall: 7/9

drink me…

Last night we went to check Aqua Spirit - a new coctal bar which is a part of The Aqua group chain.

I knew that last October they opened  their first UK place on Regent Street, and I have heard good reviews on the coctail list and spirits.

Since the idea of "getting out" came to us around eleven, it seemed like a perfect match, as most bars wrap up by this time and this one was serving drinks untill 00:45..

Place was full, but not packed; and had an oriental design (duh!).. Was overly pleasant, but were waiting 10 mins to get any the drinks menu..

M and I are very straightforward judges of service, this is why:

Quality of service - 4/9

Quality of drinks - 6/9 (House coctail was very good, so was the sour-cherry-not-sure-what-else drink)

Bar area, Aqua

Bar area, AquaSpirit (c)

Overall: We probably would like to come back and try the Aqua Kyoto food, and then order drinks from the table :)

Borough market

To us, Monmouth coffee shop remains one of the best attractions of the Borough market, and this is where our weekly shopping starts at :)

If you don't mind the traditional queuing outside, it is one of the best experiences you can get!

Quality of coffee: 9/9

Quality of milk: 9/9 (using Ivy House Farm milk)
